Website visitors to LINE
Start on your website.
Finish on LINE.
Visitors don’t need to add you on LINE first: they can ask questions, check availability and book right on your website. When an agent needs to follow up, Chatbotta gives the visitor a short code. They add your LINE Official Account or Messenger, send it, and the whole conversation moves over for your agent to pick up.

The problem
Website chats end too soon
The question is what happens after: when the visitor leaves, can the conversation continue?
Website inquiries are one-time
Visitors ask a question in your website chat and leave, with no account and no contact details. When the chat ends, you have no way to reach them again.
Close the tab, lose the visitor
Even an interested visitor has to find your site again and start a new chat after closing the tab. Most won’t.
Moving to LINE means starting over
Tell visitors to “add us on LINE to keep chatting” and they have to repeat everything. Your agent doesn’t know where they left off either, so you’re back to square one.
How it works
From website to LINE in four steps
A short code matches an anonymous website conversation to a LINE friend. Visitors send it once.
-
01
Chat on the website
A visitor asks a question in your website chat. The AI answers from the knowledge base, or an agent takes over in the inbox. The visitor is still anonymous.
-
02
Get a short code
The visitor selects “Continue on LINE” in the chat window and gets a short code, plus links to add your LINE Official Account or Messenger.
-
03
Add you on LINE, send the code
The visitor adds your official account and sends the code in LINE. The code links them to the website conversation they just had.
-
04
The conversation moves over
The whole conversation, history included, moves to the new LINE chat. Your agent sees the full context in the same inbox and picks up where it left off.

What you get
What changes after the move
Anonymous website chats become customer relationships, with a name, a history and a way to reach them again.
Visitors don’t repeat themselves
Their questions, the AI’s answers and anything your agent was in the middle of all move to LINE. Visitors pick up right where they left off.
History that stays with the customer
After the move, the anonymous website conversation is linked to that LINE friend. Search for the customer in the inbox later and their website history comes up too.
One-time inquiries become LINE friends
Once visitors add your official account, you can message them again anytime. Website traffic no longer disappears after one question.
Cross-channel
One knowledge base. Every channel.
Website chat shares the same knowledge base and flows with LINE, Messenger and Instagram. After a conversation moves to LINE, the AI gives the same answers it gave on the website, and your agents stay in the same inbox.
Each flow is converted to the channel’s own format: live chat on the website, rich menus and Flex Messages on LINE. Once a visitor moves to LINE, bookings, order lookups and notifications all happen in LINE’s native interface.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Do visitors have to add us on LINE before they can book?
No. With the built-in booking system, visitors can ask the AI in your website chat to check availability and book. They verify a phone number once and don’t need to add you as a friend first. If they later want an agent to follow up or want to keep chatting on LINE, a short code moves the whole conversation over, and the verified phone number finds the same booking on LINE too.
Does it work with Messenger too?
Yes. With a short code, visitors can add your LINE Official Account or Facebook Messenger. Wherever they send the code, the conversation moves to that chat, and your agent takes over in the same inbox.
What do visitors need to do?
Three things: select “Continue on LINE” in the website chat to get a short code, add your official account, and send the code in LINE. No sign-up, no forms, and it takes under a minute.
Is any chat history lost?
No. The whole conversation is copied to the new chat and linked to the LINE friend. The original anonymous website conversation also stays in the inbox, so you can find it from either side.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Adding website chat takes one line of code on your site. “Continue on LINE” is built into the chat window and appears once your LINE Official Account or Messenger is connected.
How is visitor privacy handled?
Visitors get and send the short code themselves, so only someone holding the code can trigger the move. Each code works once. A website conversation is never linked to a LINE account unless the visitor does it, and third-party authorization data is stored encrypted.
